available ears

When I crochet I like to have other things going on. Sometimes I will watch TV or pop in a movie. I usually prefer movies or shows that I've seen plenty of times as my eyes are more often than not on my work in progress. My hands are busy, my eyes are busy, and I can't eat very easily as I like to keep my fingers nice and clean. My ears, however, are wonderfully available. My favorite thing to do while I crochet is to listen to wonderful stuff. For example, lately I've been listening to audio books! The local library has a whole bunch just ready and waiting for me to snatch up!
From our new year's trip to Arizona... reminds me of the lamppost in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe!

Currently I am working my way through the amazing C. S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia. My husband and I are both re-reading the whole series. We have the paper back to read when we can but opt to listen to the stories when our hands are otherwise occupied. This doesn't just apply to when I crochet. I listen as I drive to work, do the dishes, fold laundry, etc. Music and podcasts are also on regular rotation and make time just zoom by!

  3. I ALWAYS pop something in that I've seen a million times when I want some background noise. Maybe I should look into audio books too.
I'm so glad you found my blog (and liked it!). I'm your newest follower. :)

  4. I love the Etsy site - it allows me to meet new friends! Thanks for stoping by my blog. I never thought that I would like audio books, but they are fantastic things when you're hands are busy, or when you just don't have the time to sit and read. I love your photo - it does kinda look like the lamppost! Fantastic!
