you’re not lame. life happens.

July 25th. That was the last time I posted a blog. I have thought about posting often since then. However, I have felt super duper lame for not posting a thing and thought maybe I just shouldn’t anymore. My wonderful and amazing husband recently asked why I hadn’t done anything here for awhile and I explained my lameness and his response was, “you’re not lame. life happens”. He also may have mentioned something about liking to read these and that made me feel pretty good. So, Blake, this one is for you.

Lots of life has been lived since my last update nearly three months ago (gah!).

Summer is already over. The heat remains but the calendar tells me it is Fall. I also am aware of the recent Fall-ness because our church, Anchor Community, is once again meeting at an Elementary school each Sunday instead of random parks. The Summer of Anchor underground was lovely.
We also have had several great small group get togethers. I love these people so much.

I created a new scarf.... and it is an OCTOPUS! I haven’t yet decided if I will try and sell it. It takes a lot of time and a bunch of buttons. But it is so gosh darn cute. What do you think?

Blake and I took my little brother shoe shopping for his birthday (and for the new school year). We both got a pair of Vans. Only after we left the store did we realize that we got the SAME SIZE SHOE! He is only 12 and 16 years younger than me and has already caught up! (Shoot! Now all of you math wizards can figure out my age!)

I helped through a baby shower for my lovely sister in-law... Phoebe should be here any minute!!

We went to the Buskerfest in downtown Long Beach and saw an amazing jug band preform and also the lead singer of one of our favorite bands, Delta Spirit.

Our friend Krista had an art show at school so we got to enjoy her wonderful installation as well as several other amazing galleries.

Blake and I followed an Etsy tutorial's direction to make our very own Van Gogh-esque dog drawings. Weird, I know.

I started making snowmen ornaments for the holidays... I had a bunch of beer bottle caps that I have been saving for who knows what and decided that I needed to do something with them or throw them out. This is what I ended up with. They are now available in my Etsy shop!

Oh... I also got glasses for the first time ever!
